Water repellent upper, lightweight fibreglass toecap and an exclusively crafted penetration resistant protective midsole developed by Activ-Step? helps protect your feet from falling hazards and underfoot injury, whilst the slip-resistant outsole keeps you grounded. In the RF116 Apollo, the upper, lining, laces, and sock liner contains 100% GRS certified recycled polyester, certified by Control Union License number: CU1134495GRS-2023-00043945. The bio-based BLOOM? midsole is crafted with BLOOM? algae, which replaces some of the fossil-fuel derived components. It makes for a cushioned midsole which absorbs impact for all-day comfort, whether you’re navigating hard floors or rough outdoor terrain, reducing fatigue to the wearer. Performance Sole: Featuring our specially formulated high grip Activ-Step? Adherence rubber outsole, tested beyond European/UK standards. Using the SATRA TM144:2021 test method we have achieved great slip resistance with the following contaminants: Cooking Oil, Fuel Oil, Water, Glycerine and SLS (as used in most cleaning products) and on surfaces such as, Quarry Tiles, Ceramic Tiles, Steel Tiles and Vinyl Tiles. Containing a BLOOM? foam midsole; BLOOM? foam contains algae, which is harvested to help clean polluted waterways where the algae grow excessively, restoring degraded water habitats and therefore improving biodiversity and ecosystem health.
